Hallo codac,
bei mir finden sich die Zertifikatsvertrauenseinstellungen auch unter iOS 26.1 an der genannten Stelle. Vielleicht tauchen die Zertifikatsvertrauenseinstellungen aber erst auf, nachdem ein Zertifikat installiert wurde.
Kann es sein, dass du das Zertifikat zwar in iOS geladen, aber noch nicht installiert hast? Die Möglichkeit dazu findest du in den Einstellungen oben direkt über dem Flugmodus (erst nachdem es geladen wurde).

Als letzter Schritt muss das Betriebssystem angewiesen werden, dem Root-Zertifikat der CA zu vertrauen. Unter iOS findet man die entsprechende Einstellung unter Systemeinstellungen -> Allgemein -> Info -> Zertifikatsvertrauenseinstellungen.
Da wird unter iOS 26.1 kein Zertifikat zum Akzeptieren mehr angezeigt, wie verhält es sich damit? Braucht man das nicht mehr oder muss man jetzt etwas anderes machen?

I’ve tried running through it on my Nextcloud server but the Reminders app still not syncing. The Reminders app shows a section for the Nexcloud reminders but no actual list.
I’m running Nextcloud 27.1.1 on Ubuntu 22.04.3 and iOS 17.0.2.
In the openssl-server.cnf I have the following at the end:

Erstelle zuerst den privaten Schlüssel für die CA und gib den privaten Schlüssel dann beim Erstellen des Root-Zertifikates der CA an:
openssl genrsa -aes256 -out cakey.pem 2048
openssl req -x509 -config openssl-ca.cnf -new -sha256 -nodes -out cacert.pem -outform PEM -days 7300 -key cakey.pem
Beim Erstellen eines Serverzertifikates wird dann die Passphrase für den privaten Schlüssel erfragt. Um Serverzertifikate automatisiert zu erstellen, müsstest du die Passphrase dann als Parameter übergeben oder aus einer Datei einlesen lassen.

Auch unter dem aktuellen iOS 15.4.1, MacOS 12.3.1 und Nextcloud 23 führt diese Anleitung zum Erfolg. Ich mußte auf dem Mac und dem iPhone ein bißchen suchen, wie dem Wurzelzertifikat vertraut werden kann, aber dann lief alles wie geschmiert. Vielen Dank für die genaue Problemanalyse und die präzise Beschreibung der Lösung.

Hallo Helge,
wenn das Root-Zertifikat in dein iOS-Device importiert ist und die Einstellungen so wie im Beitrag, dann weiß ich leider auch nicht genau woran das liegen könnte.

Welches Zertifikat nutzen denn die anderen Dienste, die über nginx erreichbar sind?
Benutzt du den Standard-Port 443 für https-Verbindungen?

Zwei Dinge würde ich ausprobieren:
1. kein Wildcard-Zertifikat benutzen (also helge.dscloud.me statt *.dscloud.me)
2. falls das nix bringt, würde das Serverzertifikat von Synology ausprobieren. Wird das regelmäßig erneuert?
